The extra faults input contacts are connected as shown to terminals 3 and 4. If the extra faults occur a signal is sent to terminal 7 of the ECU-57N/88N thus shutting the engine down and going to an alarm state. The system will reset by placing the engine control switch in the OFF position. More fault modules may be added by jumpering terminal 5 to 5 and terminal 1 to 1 of the next ECUŽ-FEX3 module. Connect ground negative to terminal 2 of the additional modules. By following this procedure as many faults as required may be added to the system.
